I'm totally slobbering all over myself with tears after seeing her sweet self with Grant, even though she was no spring chicken at the time.... Then to turn around just a few years later and see her stoic gray face. She was a great dog. I'll always remember her visits to Crosby, TX. She had her own little corner of our room.

You are so right about family. I, too felt bad for you and Christian that you couldn't celebrate your anniversary. Such a big one, too. But after all was said and done, that's just life,isn't it? The important thing is that you felt it and it still meant something monumental to you both.
Now on to the boys. Popsy(Grants new name for Pops)and Grams loved having them over last weekend. This is the 3rd consecutive year Grant has gone to Mass with us on Palm Sunday and B's first. Do you know how special that is for us? The entire short 30 hours or so they were here were jam-packed with stuff. It gave me a WHOLE new realization that 2 kids are so much tougher to handle than one. Our hats are off to you both for the tag-team thing. The Bear is such a sweetheart offering up his smiles, even when he's spitting up and oh, yeah, the boy can do that. And there's no end to the love pouring out of Grant. It's safe to say, we could start a Grantism book. His new one -pantclamp- Thank you for entrusting this precious cargo to us. They brighten our lives more than words can express.
We look forward to more special times with them and their buddies too!

I love the comment about family. One thing I really enjoy is watching my brother's with Drew. They've always been so welcoming and loving but now they've formed their own friendships with him. We are so blessed!

How we look forward to your stories...and how we love saying "the boys" now. I remember not being able to bathe until about 4pm myself when Christian was an infant. Isn't is amazing how some things just NEVER change!
You, Christian and now Grant make such a great team with "the bear". and I loved seeing the look on your face when you noticed Grant's beecee next to Barrett the other night. That was G being big brother at his best. Life is Good.

I made a promise to myself and to my grandsons that I would be better about posting comments (how about posting a comment for the first time!) I can't begin to tell these beautiful boys how lucky they are to have such wonderful parents to guide them through their life. Barrett, we knew that following your big brother, Grant, would be a tough act to follow. But I think you have already caught our attention.
Barrett, you are one gorgeous guy, with signs of being the strong, silent type. Grant, always wonderfully witty and charming, you will always have our hearts. I think the conjoined Buteras, Dionnes, Kuehns and Perritte families are truly blessed to have these precious babies to love. Nennie
